Our Trainer

We are very blessed to have John Dudding come to Heavens Gait Farm to be our resident trainer!

I grew weary of having the horses away from home...could not find suitable assistance in the local area that knew anything about foxtrotters...so we imported one from Missouri.

John has worked around the foxtrotting horse most of his life...along with other stock breeds.  We are very blessed to have a Christian Horse Whisper at the Farm working wonders with the foals to the Senior Stallion.  I have never witnessed such a kind gentle, knowledgeable human work so intuitively with the nature of the horse!!  John is some one that shares most of my philosophy of stewardship over animals and uses that starting point to train/communicate with the horses in a kind, consistent fashion...having each horse on their own program and progressing to the end result.

I can just sit and watch him calm the young stud colt until he trust him to become part of John's herd, settle one of my geldings into a nice trail foxtrot which no one has been able to do in 6 years...and Jaguar and Dove love him. 

On top of all this gift...John is a very accomplished farrier. My horses feet have never looked so good.  John custom shoes/trims each horse as to  what that individual horse needs...not to what the farrier feels like doing. 

My biggest problem with John is that the neighborhood has gotten wind of the "Horse Whisper" at Heavens Gait...I hope they do not try and hire him out form us.

God has truly forged this connection for the sake of these wonderful horses...Thank you!
